film assignment

D block will watch the Untouchables in order to further study Prohibition.  After completion of the film, 12/19 or 12/20, the class will have a film discussion.  After the film discussion, students are expected to submit the film assignment on turnitin.com or paper.  The film reflection is an informal writing assignment and is graded as a homework assignment.  All that is expected from each student, is that they write a 4-sentence-minimum reflection as a comment on this post.  Respond to a thing or multiple things from the movie that struck you.  Were you inspired?  Surprised?  Dejected?  Did you learn something new?  Does it remind you of something you know?  How does it apply or add to what we have learned?  See me if you need help.

NOTE- Reflections named after sections are always a minimum 4 sentences that you write connecting to the topic.  Students can just remark on something from that section or the best is when they compare it to what they know and show they understand how relevant it is to their lives.  Summaries will NOT be given credit on the next notebook check.  If you are uncertain how to write a reflection instead of a summary, see P. Cook.
